A few years ago I was walking along Eastbourne promenade with an old friend called John Pressdee and we were talking about all the unfulfilled prophesies and visions and promises that had been given us in the past that stood unfulfilled in our lives. We concluded that maybe we had got them wrong, that they were more wishful thinking than true revelations when a man that John had met once or twice walked in front of us, began to prophesy and confirm everything we had just been talking about and then walked away leaving us somewhat gobsmacked or maybe that should be Godsmacked. We forget stuff we've put on the back burner but he doesn't.
Lovely piece. The photo brought a bit of a tear to my eye — as the tree in Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall is gone now, and the gap feels a big one.
We dearly loved sycamore gap. So sad that amazing tree is gone.
It isn’t quite dead thankfully. I was up there a few months ago and there are green shoots.
Thanks. I'll be saving this one to re-read and contemplate.

Perceptively seen and well said. Thanks.
Oh Maggi, so on the point, thanks!
Nice to know! (I’m preaching to myself too!) Thanks, Adrian.
